I don’t understand if someone stands up for whole families and biblical marriage why opponents go straight to the ‘hate’ word. How is that relevant? I don’t see the connection and it is completely illogical.
I saw the support from the news for Chick-fil-A and was surprised how well attended the restaurants were. Just because someone stands up for traditional marriage doesn’t mean they hate anyone. They just don’t believe in unnatural lifestyles. And having beliefs and making them known is what living in America is all about. The people standing in line or camping out in Chick-fil-A parking lots didn’t look like they hated anyone at all. They looked like friendly Americans standing up for free speech and the American way.
If there have been any hateful actions to those who live alternative lifestyles, I personally apologize. There’s nothing worse than living in a free country and being ostracized. But standing up for traditional marriage is not hateful.
Somebody mentioned that those who don’t believe in alternate lifestyles have “stuck-in-the-past” thinking. Perhaps, but since the Bible has been around for centuries and is still one of the top sellers of all time, I’ll be happy to have that kind of thinking. Must be a reason so many still think that way.
That’s the beauty of living in America. Citizens can make their opinions and beliefs known and support them. Unfortunately there are groups who do hate others and make it obvious, but those in support of Chick-fil-A are not in that camp. They are standing up for free speech and traditional marriage which is not hateful.
